Daily quests, not a rigid routine
Schedule habits daily, weekly, or on your own cadence. Every completion earns visible progress, while importance levels help the things that matter stand out.
Gamified habit tracker for iOS & Android
Turn real-life habits into quests, earn XP, and tackle co-op raids with friends. Missed a day? Your streak waits for you—no HP loss and no shame.
A habit tracker built around real life
CheckMate is a gamified habit tracker for people who want motivation without punishment. Plan a small daily quest, check it off for XP, focus alongside other players, or turn a shared goal into a co-op raid.
Schedule habits daily, weekly, or on your own cadence. Every completion earns visible progress, while importance levels help the things that matter stand out.
Missing a day does not cost HP or erase the work you already did. CheckMate keeps the progress and leaves room for rest, recovery, and a clean return.
Invite friends into co-op raids, fight a shared boss through real check-ins, or join a focus session. The party can carry you today; you can carry them tomorrow.
Your path. Your pace. No streaks required.
20 unique characters. Pick the one that represents your journey.
A habit app that doesn't tell you what to do — it gives you the tools to find your own way.
Real screenshots from the live app. No mockups, no filler. Updated as the app evolves.
What I've shipped, and what's coming next. Built in the open, driven by your feedback.
CheckMate now starts reliably if the first launch after an update is interrupted.
Journal notes now support up to 20,000 characters, with steadier saving and navigation even when entries include photos.
Focus sessions now keep accurate time through screen locks and app restarts, with reminders for both focus and rest periods.
The Lifetime purchase screen is now more stable on iOS.
Expired Raids now block late joins, and leaving one carries no Ember penalty.
Search Notice Board Quests by title or tag, and Raids by title.
Long Journal notes now open in a dedicated reader. Keep the entry visible while choosing your preferred font, text size, line spacing, and weight, and CheckMate saves those reading preferences for next time. The new reader also respects reduced motion and accessible touch targets.
Premium upgrades now wait for the free-trial confirmation to close completely before opening the purchase screen. This fixes a reported Settings flow that could return to the main screen and stop responding, with a safer handoff on both iOS and Android.
Companion check-ins are now open to everyone. Turn them on once, choose Misa or Putica, then choose whether your cat notices unfinished quests, progress and milestones, or the occasional quiet moment. If notifications are blocked, setup keeps a clear path to try again, and dismissed hints stay dismissed.
Website refresh — a clearer look at how quests, rest-positive streaks, and co-op raids work, plus a practical guide to gamified habits and a free habit streak & consistency calculator. The screenshot gallery now waits until you reach it too, making the first visit lighter.
CheckMate 1.0.19 — the new Today home-screen widget shows what is still open and jumps straight into a quest. Streaks now only count up, so a day off leaves yours waiting instead of wiping it away, and the Comeback XP bonus works after a break.
Account switching now has a durable privacy boundary. Journal photos, PIN state, widgets, reminders, and account-owned local data are cleared and verified before another account can use the device, while late work from the previous account is fenced out.
Raid, quest, and progression reliability — check-ins, undo, XP, levels, and Embers now settle together with the server. Ended raids advance on schedule, expired results dismiss reliably, Enshrine and Archive refresh correctly, and shared profile data exposes only what it needs.
Lifetime purchase recovery — redeem an App Store code inside CheckMate, or return after redeeming elsewhere and the app automatically checks whether the lifetime unlock belongs to your account.
Signing out now affects only the device in your hand, and a temporary sync failure no longer mistakes a healthy account for a deleted one. Tablet journal dates open correctly, off-screen scenes stop animating to save battery, the day-and-night switch introduces itself once, and Settings can open the store’s rating card.
Notification delivery was rebuilt so a shared device receives messages only for its current account, while friend requests, cheers, and raid invites no longer get stranded. Push-token access was tightened at the same time.
84 new pixel icons joined the library, bringing it to 172. Quest, raid, and journal pickers now offer 162 searchable choices, understand everyday ideas like “money” or “gym,” and keep every icon larger and more consistent.
Tap any Journal calendar day to add, edit, or delete its entry. Misa and Putica now react to the mood you save with wording that fits backdated days, light-theme mood colours are clearer, and every free-access screen shares the same honest countdown. Subscribing early also explains what happens before the store opens.
Journal calendars and Year View now use complete, stable month layouts with faster navigation and gentler mood labels. Bottom sheets across CheckMate also share clearer titles and consistent back and close controls.
Journal Trends, redesigned. A warm read on how you've been — a mood-and-vitals chart, gentle patterns pulled from your entries, field notes, and a swipeable Memories deck of your photos. Pick any date range you like.
Co-op Raids tune-up — clearer official raid titles, plus fairer grove watering and tier scaling, so showing up with your team feels right.
Reliability polish — the Journal now shows a loading placeholder while it opens, switching to cloud sync loads your entries right away, and quest reminders show exactly the time you set.
Journal calendar — swiping between months now drops you straight onto that month's most recent day, and the entries snap into view. No more hunting for the right day.
CheckMate now lets you know when a new version is ready and can apply quick updates on the spot — so you're always on the latest with less waiting.
Journal backup & restore — save your whole journal, photos and all, to a single file you can keep safe, then bring it back anytime. Plus fixes to journal photo uploads and a faster, smoother app under the hood.
Side Quests — one small, optional feel-good task each day, like a short walk or a glass of water. Tap to complete it for a little XP. No streaks, no pressure: skip the days you need to.
Onboarding, reimagined. A friendlier cat-led intro with Misa & Putica, a pick-your-first-quest step, and a small celebration when you finish setting up.
Fresh pixel-art icons across the app and redesigned journal entry cards. Misa & Putica now cheer you on after every journal save.
Misa, Putica, and your hero avatars are now animated — little idle and talking loops that bring your party to life.
At-a-Glance home-screen widget for iOS and Android. Plus a redesigned XP breakdown and buff/debuff journal cards.
iOS app is officially live on the App Store. CheckMate now ships to iPhone and iPad.
View on App StoreAttach photos to your current-day journal entry. Journal quest list got a cleaner inline-wrap layout with a neutral "pending today" state.
A peek at what I'm exploring next. I ship when it feels right, so no firm dates — but here's where my head's at.
More ways to grow together — I keep deepening co-op Raids and Adventuring so showing up with your people stays the best part.

Built by one ADHD brain, two cats with opinions, and a fiancée who checks I'm still alive when the hyperfocus hits 20 hours.
No investors, no big team. Just us—and each of them helps in their own unique way.
I grew up being told what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. For years I assumed that was the only way—follow someone else's system, stick to someone else's rules.
Got diagnosed with ADHD recently, but I'd lived with it my whole life without knowing. Finally understood what was going on—why my head feels like five radio stations playing at once.
Best thing I learned was to stop fighting it. When something grabs me—this project, electronics, sim racing, drawing—I just go. Used to think the hyperfocus was a problem. Turns out it's how I get anything done.
You don't need a 10-day streak, a 50-day streak, or a 100-day streak to improve. You just need today. Every action you take—no matter how small—moves you forward.
Everyone is different. That's why CheckMate doesn't force one approach. Simple quests for daily wins. Adventures with others when you need that energy. A private journal when you need to reflect. Pick what works, ignore what doesn't.
You are enough. Your path is yours. Never compare it to anyone else's.
CheckMate is live on both stores. Pick yours.
